Whale Shark Conservation Expedition

August 24 - 30, 2019 in Isla Mujeres, Mexico

The Whale Shark Citizen Science Conservation Expeditions take place in Mexico making day trips out from the island of Isla Mujeres.

Each day we will see whale sharks, also could have encounters with manta rays and dolphins. We will be snorkeling and freediving in a pristine area which is one of the last vulnerable whale shark aggregation and possible breeding areas in the world.

These are land based expeditions and we go out every day for whale shark encounters. The expeditions are a citizen science opportunity where you will participate in research, conservation, photography, video and data gathering projects with us and is part of our Endangered Whale Shark Conservation Program.

Included in the expeditions:

- 7 days 6 nights luxury hotel accommodations, based on double occupancy
- 4 full days of whale shark encounters with a small group on the boat. No dive certification required
- Lunch, snacks and beverages on the boat
- Snorkel gear included
- Whale shark conservation and safety diving orientation
- In-field conservation projects
- Marine park fees and airport transfers

We will have one day off to explore the island during our time on Isla Mujeres.

Join Shark Team One and be part of our select conservation and marine biology research expeditions!
