Great Hammerhead Shark Conservation Expedition
Winter and Early Spring in Bimini, Bahamas
The Great Hammerhead Shark Conservation Expedition takes place in the Bahamas making day trips out from the island of Bimini.
Each day we will see great hammerhead sharks, also could have encounters with bull, reef, nurse sharks and wild dolphins. We will be diving in a pristine area which is one of the last great hammerhead shark aggregation areas in the world.
These are land based expeditions and we go out everyday for great hammerhead shark encounters. This expedition is a citizen science opportunity where you will participate in a photography, video and data gathering project with us.
Included in the expedition:
- 6 days 5 nights hotel accommodations, based on double occupancy
- 4 days of shark encounters. Dive certification and DAN insurance required.
- Shark conservation and safety diving orientation
- Photography tips
- In-field conservation project
