This luxury citizen science expedition combines endangered species conservation, photography, filmmaking, climate change awareness projects and cultural aspects of the Arctic region. The expedition will have snorkeling with narwhal and beluga, polar bear viewing, cultural excursions and hiking to witness 70 species of migrating birds. We may also see walrus, seal, bowhead whales and a number of arctic land mammals. We will be camping in yurt style tents on an arctic beach and head to different areas of the floe edge or the "line of life" each day to witness one of the most amazing migrations on Earth as narwhal, beluga and bowhead whales swim through a narrow passage in the Lancaster Sound area near Baffin Island!
This expedition will be a small group of explorers and we are headed to the Arctic region during the spring of 2021. We will be in an area which is only accessible by special permit. Our guide ratio is 4:1 with a complete staff of naturalists, photography experts, experienced trip leaders and Inuit guides.
